WINERY
The winery was open for production in 2011. We make wine from our own Georgia estate-grown grapes with the exception of a few varietals that we purchase from nearby Stack Farms in Tiger, Georgia. Our production has grown from 251 cases in 2011 to nearly 1,500 cases in 2019! Through the years, we have invested in state-of-the-art equipment to make the best wine possible from harvest to bottling. Our busiest time of year is harvest, when we hand pick our grapes with the help of volunteer harvesters – a truly memorable experience.
We age our wines in either stainless steel tanks or oak barrels depending on the style of our winemaker. Throughout this process, our winemaker and staff continue to work to create a wine that is perfectly balanced before bottling. We invite you to visit our winery by calling ahead for a special tour.
After harvesting the grapes, we begin crushing and destemming the grapes which then go into the press (for white wine) or are fermented on the skins (for our amber and red wines). After fermentation, the wines are progressively “racked”, a process where the clear wine is pumped into a new clean tank or oak barrel, leaving the sediment behind.
